Hey Teams! 

I hope everyone is well and super excited about AFRICA!! The countdown is really on, and I am sure yall are feeling it! Cherise and I were on skype last night catching up on trip details and were thinking and praying for you all as you wrap things up at home. we are soo excited and honored to be a part of your journey this summer :) 

I just wanted to go over a couple packing details, nothing really new I just want to stress the importants for you lovely expeditioners:

A good hiking pack (no suitcases!). You will be responsible for carrying your own stuff, often for extended periods ;)  *hint pack lightly!

*2 person tent

*Hiking/running shoes for long walks/hikes

*A mess kit (bowl, utensils, etc.)

*Baby wipes (for those days or weeks when showers seem like a distant thing of the past haha)

*Tissues/kleenex

*and PEANUT BUTTER! Bring as much as you can. its expensive in Africa and we will be eating a lot of it! Life story of a backpacker :/ ha

*again pack lightly, think less clothes more peanut butter! haha just kidding but keep in mind that your pack needs to light/easy enough for you to carry around by yourself. no one will carry it for you... trust me :/

** Do not bring a laptop! Because of the nature of this trip it will be a complete annoyance to lug around and there is no secure place to keep it. You will have plenty of opportunity to visit internet cafes along our journey for blogging and contacting friends and family  :) thanks.
